Your daily hour — how to structure it
10 min

30 min
Study
Read the assigned documentation pages at help.craftsmanplus.com. Take notes in the session card as you go.
15 min
Apply
Complete the application task. Write it out — don't just think it. A sentence or two is enough.
5 min
Log
Score your confidence, set your status, and write down any open questions before you close the tab.
How to use the session cards
Status dropdown
Complete — studied, applied, and confident
In Progress — started but not done
Needs Follow-Up — something unresolved, flag it
Skipped / Blank — doc page was empty or N/A
Reference Only — good to know, not deep study
Confidence score (1–5 stars)
★ — Not yet comfortable
★★ — Need guidance to explain it
★★★ — Can explain it with notes open
★★★★ — Client-ready, no notes needed
★★★★★ — Could train someone else on this
On blank or incomplete doc pages: Mark the session as Skipped / Blank and move on. These don't count against you. If something is partially there, mark it Reference Only and note what was missing.

Target score is 4 across all categories. A 4 means client-ready — you can handle it without prompting. A 5 means you could train the next hire on it. Don't aim for 5 everywhere on day one. Build to 4, then grow from there.
Week-by-week targets
Week 1
Platform Foundation
You can explain what PLAY is, walk through the editor, and describe the basic project journey to a new partner.
Week 2
Feature Depth + Support
You can handle common partner questions around interactions, animations, exports, and variants without escalating immediately.
Week 3
INTELLIGENCE + ANALYTICS
You can explain AI features clearly, write strong prompts, and interpret analytics without overclaiming what the data means.
Week 4
Applied CS Certification
You apply everything to real client scenarios — onboarding, support, performance reviews, and INTELLIGENCE enablement. Final deliverable: your PLAY Cheat Sheet.
What the final certification looks like
By the end of Day 20, you should be able to do all of the following independently — no notes, no prompting from Shane:
✓Explain PLAY to a new partner in plain English
✓Walk through project creation from scratch
✓Troubleshoot basic interaction issues
✓Prepare a project for export QA
✓Explain INTELLIGENCE without overpromising
✓Interpret analytics and recommend next steps
✓Know when to escalate to Product, Creative, or Shane
✓Lead a 30-minute partner onboarding call
Day 20 deliverable: A 1-page PLAY Support + Enablement Cheat Sheet. Write it like you're handing it to the next new hire. Shane reviews it. That's the certification gate.
A few things to keep in mind
The goal is fluency, not memorization. You're not being tested on recall. You're building the judgment to handle real situations. If you have to look something up, that's fine — knowing where to look is part of the skill.
Log open questions, don't skip them. Every open question in your session notes is a conversation starter. Bring them to Shane. That's how you close gaps fast.
Blank doc pages are expected. Some pages in the help center are incomplete or in progress. Mark them Skipped and keep moving. Don't let a blank page stall your session.
Apply to real clients as you go. The application tasks reference real CRAFTSMAN+ partners. The more you connect the docs to actual accounts, the faster it clicks.
